LET'S DANCE

by Oladepo Joshua T.   LET'S DANCE Let's dance, today, to the rythm of the drum, Like the madman pottering in insanity, Or a drunkard besieged of the rum, Spitting parables to the wind aptly. Let's dance swiftly on our stop to hell, For blessed be the woe that surly awaits, Mayhap of this darkened voice impelling Our soul to the dreaded Lucifer's bait. Let's dance with our sole matching, For this last ancient drizzle, And the misery beleaguering Our fading grizzle. Let's prance widly for it's the end, To the sweet tune from the wiry Àyànganlú, Whose beat, to the bleeding heart, succor it sends, Nevertheless, we'll be feasted soon. J.O.

WHEN WE LIKE SHEEP...

By Oladepo Joshua T. (December 24th, 2022) When we like sheep, we have gone astray; And turned everyone to his way; Out of the celestials he came,  To crush the power of hell, With his sceptre of love. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!! Are the songs of the terrestrials, Praises on high and in valleys, Of the manger birthed glory, set to illuminate the gloom hither. Hosanna! Hosanna!! Hosanna!!! Says the celestials on high, Their voices are so blaring, For alas, rises a stellar kingdom, Joy of which has no end.
